Darline B. Metsker

Darline B. Metsker, Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 3, 2023. Darline was born March 19, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri, the oldest child of Arthur and Dena Bockelman.

Darline received the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior as a child, and desired to serve Him throughout her life. She was a member of Word of Grace Fellowship where she was involved in many of its ministries. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, homemaker, grandmother, and great grandmother. She retired from her home-based dressmaking business in 1984.

She was preceded in death in 1999 by her husband of 52 years, Lowell L. Metsker, and her infant daughter Beverly Ruth in 1948. She is survived by three children and their spouses: Gordon and Claudette Metsker, Leavenworth, KS; Cheryl and Darrel Eppler, Duncanville, TX; and Nathan and Jane Metsker, Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren: Joshua (Janel) Metsker, Justin (Julie) Metsker, Joanna Metsker, Laura (Joel) Nordell, Kyle Eppler, Jonathan (Kendra) Cates, Andrew Cates; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12PM, with services to follow at 1PM, Tuesday, February 7 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.
