H. Charlene Mohn

Mrs. Helen “Charlene” Mohn, age 86, of Raytown Mo. had the great privilege of meeting her Savior face to face on Thursday, October 1st, 2020. Charlene passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was welcomed into this world on February 20th, 1934, at her parent’s country home in Laredo Mo. After moving to the city, she called Raytown her home for almost 60 years. Charlene married Rusty Mohn on February 1st, 1963; they were married for 26 years until his passing in 1989. She had a successful career, one which she loved, at AT&T starting in 1952 and retiring in 1986. Charlene was a member of the First Baptist Church, Raytown Mo. Throughout Charlene’s life she loved traveling, drinking coffee and visiting with others, reading, going to her grandkids sporting events, dinning out, dancing, spending time at the VFW, throwing parties, helping her family get back on their feet when needed and being surrounded by her loved ones. Charlene is proceeded in death by her husband Rusty Mohn, son David Mohn, granddaughter Rebecca Trimble, father Cecil Neely, mother Brooksie Carrender, sister Naomi Dieterle, and niece Dana Weaver. She will be greatly missed by 4 children, Karen Heflin and her husband Henry, William “Bill” Mohn, Stephen “Mike” Mohn, and Patricia “Patty” Cromley, 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlene was an amazing woman and has left us with a beautiful legacy of love and servanthood.

Funeral services for Charlene will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Cornerstone Church, 301 SE AA Hwy., Blue Springs, MO 64014, with reception and time for fellowship immediately following. Graveside committal service will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Green Lawn Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, MO, 64138.  Visitation will be Friday evening, October 9, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138.
