Betty Marie (Seares) Moorehouse was born on October 18, 1936 in Glendive, Montana. She was one of 11 children born to Ulysses Grant and Louis Marie Seares. She had a twin brother Bob. She was raised on their family farm. At the young age of 18 she became a nanny and traveled with a couple who sold magazines door to door across the US. She soon realized that with her powers of persuasion she could do that on her own and maybe even better. She married the love of her life James (Jim) Lee Moorehouse on January 25, 1957. They were married for 47 years before his passing in 2004. They primarily lived in the Kansas City area and finally settled in Holden, Missouri. They had four children Vickie, Randy, Charlene and Carrie. She wasn't the typical stay at home mom, but she was always up, dressed, hair and makeup done, and breakfast on the table before anyone else was even up in the morning. She would also help out in the office at the family business - TAM Carpet shop. She loved camping, going to the lake, and really anything outdoors. She loved gambling, playing cards and other games like Bingo, marbles and Yahtzee. She loved her dogs, horses (Grandma Horsey) and her peacock. Mostly she loved spending time with family and friends for Holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions. She was a grandmother to 15 grandchildren and a great grandmother (GG) to 23 great grandchildren. She was fun, feisty, and never hesitated to say what was on her mind. She was/is dearly loved and will be in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers today and always.

She was preceded in death by her husband - James (Jim) Lee Moorehouse, son - Randy Moorehouse, granddaughter - Dana (Moore) Moorehouse, grandson – Richard Westergard, son-in-law – Tony Henry, her parents - Ulysses Grant and Louis Marie Seares, her twin brother Bob Seares, sisters – Emogene Bailey, Virginia Coyan, Pat Harrington, and Joann Baisch.
