Nancy D. Gully

Nancy D. Gully, beloved sister, devoted volunteer, and cherished member of the community, passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 87. Nancy was born on August 27, 1936, in Longstreet, Louisiana, to Susie and Reverend Hubbard Daniels.

Nancy's journey in life was marked by her unwavering dedication to education, service, and faith. She pursued her bachelor’s degree at Wylie College in Marshall, Texas, a testament to her commitment to learning and growth. Throughout her life, Nancy resided in various places, including Omaha, Nebraska and Naperville, Illinois. Nancy worked for over 30 years for the Boy Scouts of America. Upon retiring she moved to Liberty.

Her altruistic spirit shone brightly through her volunteer work at Liberty Hospital, where she touched countless lives with her compassion and generosity. Additionally, Nancy was a pillar of strength within her community, actively participating in North Star United Methodist Church, where her faith was a guiding light in everything she did.

Nancy is survived by her loving sister, Almeta Daniels, sister-in-law LaVeda Daniels, numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of close friends whom she considered family. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held on April 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at North Star United Methodist Church, 11250 N Eastern Rd, Kansas City, MO 64156, where friends, family, and acquaintances will gather to honor her memory and legacy of love. 

Nancy D. Gully leaves behind a profound legacy of compassion, service, and faith, forever etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light she brought into the world.
