Elizabeth M. Noblit, 90, passed away September 13, 2018. Elizabeth was born February 16, 1928 in Kansas City, MO to Arthur and Mary (Rutter) Donnelly. She lived in Grandview, MO for over 70 years. Elizabeth served as Committee Woman for the City of Grandview during the 1960s and 1970s and was an active volunteer in many clubs and organizations in Grandview and the surrounding communities including: Lifetime member of the Grandview Bulldogs Booster Club; the DAV Auxiliary; Teamster Retiree Club; the Grandview Historical Society and Grandview VFW Post 8100.

Elizabeth held a variety of jobs that included being a Telephone Operator (once having connected Harry Truman to Mary Jane Truman when FDR passed away), staff cook at Benjamin Stables, Jackson County Election Board Member, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mary (Rutter) Donnelly, several siblings, son John Edward Noblit, husband Guy Roland Noblit, Sr., daughter Teresa Noblit Burandt Lockard Shore and son Guy Roland Noblit, Jr. She leaves behind siblings Helen Miller, Katherine Delgado, Jay Donnelly and John (Bobby) Donnelly (Sandy); daughters Janice Golden, Jamie Noblit and Sherry Noblit Straisinger (Kevin); grandchildren John Noblit (Brigid), David Noblit (Stephanie), Chad Burandt (Debbie), Jason Burandt (Bethanie) and Chuck Golden (Michelle); 8 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Grandview VFW Post 8100, 3413 Main St., Grandview, MO 64030 or to Grandview Historical Society, 1205 Jones Ave., Grandview, MO 64030.

Visitation 9AM, service 10AM, Friday, September 21, 2018 at Park Lawn, 8251 Hillcrest Rd.; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Immediately following the interment, please join the family and friends for a reception at VFW Hall Post #8100, 3413 Main St., Grandview, MO 64030.
