Dorothy LaVon Noonan, 96, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 17, 2018 at her home.
Dorothy was born May 19, 1922 in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Southeast High School in 1939. She married the love of her life, Paul A. Noonan, on March 1, 1942. After raising two daughters, she worked in the insurance industry with the Esry Insurance Agency in Independence, Missouri. She was a founding member of Broadview Christian Church and an active Board Member and President of the Board. She loved teaching Sunday School for the adults and teenagers of the church. She was an inspiration to all who loved the Lord. Most recently she attended Lee’s Summit Christian Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Sauvé and her husband, Colonel Rob Sauvé, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; daughter, Joyce Winger of Overland Park; two grandsons, Christopher Michael Winger II (Erin); Matthew Noonan Winger (Mary); and great-grandson, James and great-granddaughter, Claire; niece, Tracey Creech, and nephew, Michael Creech (Karen).
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday, August 25, 2018at 1:00 P.M. at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice in Dorothy’s name.
