Norma Mae Anderson, age 82, passed away February 11, 2024.
Norma Mae Anderson was born on July 15, 1941 to Charles G. Anderson and Pauline A. (Bartelt) Anderson in Kansas City, MO. Norma married WIlliam E. Gross on July 1, 1960 and to this union 3 daughters were born: Sharon Kay Gross, Vicki Lynn Gross, and Lori Ann Gross.
She lived in the same house in Kansas City for 60 years.
Mom told us shortly before she passed away that "God gives you what you need and what's best for you. He gave me 3 girls and girls need a mama."
She loved her job in Accounting for the Department of Agriculture, and spoke of it often.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Miller of El Dorado Springs, MO, and her brothers Bob Anderson of Grain Valley, MO and Marvin Anderson of Belton, MO and son-in-law Jeffrey McCann of Grandview, MO..
She is survived by her sister Beverly Anderson of Belton, MO, and her brother MIke Brooks of Lacey, Washington; her daughters: Sharon Perkins and husband Bill of Butler, MO, Vicki McCann of Independence, MO, and Lori Myers and husband Randy of Grain Valley, MO; her grandchildren: Jennifer (Perkins) Mullinix and husband Matt, Jason Perkins and wife Sarah, Justin Perkins and wife Victoria, Jonathan Perkins and wife Morgan, Crystal Rooney (McCann) and husband Chris, and Heather McCann, plus 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10AM, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Park Lawn Funeral Home. Family will receive friends beginning at 9AM at the chapel.
She will always be remembered most for her great love for her family, and will be deeply missed.
