Earlene Ann Ogilvie

Earlene Ann Ogilvie, 82, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at home with her family at her side. Services will be private. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Earlene’s memory to Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired.

Earlene was born on Sunday, November 20, 1938, to Reba (O’Malley) and Earl J. Griffin in Pittsburg, KS. She was a graduate of Westport High School, Kansas City, MO. She married Kenneth L. Ogilvie on June 16, 1956. She worked for AT&T for 24 years, retiring in 1984. Earlene was a proud member of the Crafty Bunch. She was an avid reader who appreciated the Electronic Age and wore out her first two Kindles.

Earlene is preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth, after 47 years of marriage. She is survived by her children, Kenneth E. Ogilvie (Dottie); David Ogilvie (Amy); Sean Ogilvie (Sheryl); and Julie Schmidt (Kyle). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
