Patricia Ann Conner

Patricia Ann (Zimmerman) Conner passed away August 12, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Park Lawn Northland Chapel (1640 North State Rt 291, Liberty, MO 64068) Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am prior to the service. Interment will be 2:00pm Tuesday August 20, 2024 at Resurrection Cemetery, ( 8300 Quivira Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215 )   In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association. 

 She was born in LaCygne, KS on August 14, 1932. She was two days shy of her 92nd birthday at the time of her death. She attended school in LaCygne, KS. She married Charles "Chuck" Conner on August 6, 1949. 

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, puzzles, and spending time with family. She also played organ at her church for many years. She was a strong woman who survived a motorcycle accident and later breast cancer. She always worked full time while raising her family. She worked as a bookkeeper at City National Bank, as an aide at the Osawatomie State Hospital, as a clerk at Westinghouse High School, and as a clerk and bookkeeper at her family's Wilgus Mercantile Grocery Store. She also worked for various law firms as a word processing specialist before she retired. 

She was preceded in death by her parents R. Leonard and Louise (Wilgus) Zimmerman, husband Chuck, daughter Patricia, son Michael, and sister Marcia. She is survived by her daughters Dorothy Smith (Doug) and Julia Ewert (Brian), her brother David (Mary), her 7 grandchildren (Jason, Stephanie, Matthew, Glendon, Joshua, Robin, and Bailey), 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by her many friends and family members.
