Patricia Ann Horsch

Patricia Horsch passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 9, 2024, after 94 years of being a loving daughter, wife, mother, granny, and great-granny. She was an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular love for basketball, diligently cutting out the sports section of the newspaper each day for game times. The ritual spoke volumes about her passion for sports after holding season tickets for the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. Patricia's spirit of giving and steadfast loyalty will be remembered for enriching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her, inspiring acts of kindness and loyalty in those she leaves behind. 

 After 63 years of marriage, Patricia said goodbye to her husband, Daniel G. Horsch, on Feb. 9, 2013. As it would be, she went home to Dan on the same day 11 years later, one hour different than his passing, in the same location. Her mother Edrie Dunn and grandson Jonathan Horsch also preceded her in death. Patricia is survived by her six children, Pamela, Michael (Karen), Mark, Julianne, Wade (Margaret), Mariclaire (Patrick); seven grandchildren, one step-grandchild, and seven great-grandchildren.

 A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 23 at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, 4313 MO-7 Highway, Blue Springs, MO, 64014. 

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patricia's name to Kansas City Hospice House, 9001 State Line Road, Suite 300, Kansas City, MO 64114 as a thank you for the loving care that she received for several months. Even in Patricia's final moments, she remained deeply connected to her team of caregivers who ensured she knew the result of the Duke basketball game from the night before.
