R. Howerton Ii Paul

Paul Richard Howerton, II, 63, of Independence, MO, went to be with Jesus on January 25, 2022.

Paul was born January 10, 1959, in Independence, MO, the third of five children of Frank and Sigrid Howerton. His sister, Lesa Loos preceded him in death. He graduated from Fort Osage High School, Class of 1977, and later received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Baker University, Class of 1984.

Throughout high school and college, he played football and starred in numerous theatre productions into his adult life, including main roles at Gladstone’s Theatre in the Park. He worked 24 years at Lafarge and was currently employed at Winchester Arms. Paul was a charismatic Christian, vibrant singer, and member of Harmony Vineyard Church.

Survivors include his children, M. Howerton and Blake Howerton (Abigail); his wife of 20 years and longtime love, Lori Howerton. He also leaves his mom and dad, Sigrid and Frank Howerton; and brothers, John Howerton (Becky), Joel Howerton (Veronica) and Jim Howerton (Deanna); as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Paul's life at 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 5 at Harmony Vineyard Church, 600 NE 46th Street, Kansas City, MO 64116. Burial will follow at Glenridge Cemetery, Liberty.
