Rosemary (McFall Anderson) Pilsl, 83, of Raytown, passed away Saturday, September 1, embraced closely by her family. Rosemary was born June 5, 1935 in Kansas City, KS & grew up in Northeast Kansas City, MO, graduating from Northeast High School.
Rosemary was a local musician & entertainer over the years, entertaining in nursing homes later in life. Besides her family, her greatest joy was being “Mrs. Santa” for a Christmas Party for Children & Adults with Developmental Disabilities for over 40 years.
Rosemary is preceded in death by her husband Paul, sister Janice Barber, son Johnny Anderson, daughter Glenda Anderson, granddaughter Wendy Anderson & grandson Matthew Bettinger. She is survived by 5 daughters, Kathie Bettinger of Bates City, Roxie (David) Anderson of Tempe, AZ, Robin Johnson of Belton, Jeanne Anderson of Kansas City & Jennifer Anderson of Independence, 13 grandchildren, Robert, Kerrie, Michael, Chase, Jeremy, Amanda, Josh, Jaimie, Veronica, Erin, Tiffany, Jason & Mariah& 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 21 at 6pm at Englewood Church, 10628 E Winner Rd, Independence, MO, with Service to follow at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests plants or donations to Special Olympics-KC Metro, 9001 W 67th St, Merriam, KS 66202, in honor of Rosemary Pilsl aka “Mrs. Claus”.
The family would like to thank Serenity Care Hospice & especially their weekend staff for their care, outstanding compassion & support.
