Randall "Randy" Kenneth Allen

          Randall Kenneth “Randy” Allen, 78, of Liberty, MO, passed away July 11, 2023, at Liberty Hospital with family at his side.

          Randy was born February 24, 1945, in Versailles, MO. He was a 1963 graduate of Westport High School and received his bachelor’s degree from William Jewell College and two master’s degrees from Midwestern Theological Seminary. 

          Randy retired from the Financial Aid Department at William Jewell College.  He was a longtime member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.  He was an avid sports fan and had a favorite team for every sport.  He was also an avid reader and fan of every aspect of Marilyn Monroe’s life and career.

          Randy was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Keith Allen; mother, Ethel Geraldine (Stringer) Purvis; step-father, Ralph Purvis; brother, Wayne Allen; and granddaughter, Brooke Lynn House.

          Survivors include his children, Lori House, Lisa Turner (James) and Kenny Allen (Sylvia); grandchildren, Kassi Woolridge, Trever House, Alee House, Maddi House, Brent Turner, Jenna Pepper (Dwight), Emma Multer (Andy), Zach Turner, and Gabriella Perks (Josh); great grandchildren, Noah, Lucy, and Paisley; brother, Kevin Purvis (Raeanne); sister-in-law, Ilene Allen; nephews, Stephen Allen (Nicole Murphy) and Bryan Allen (Jennie) and their families.

          Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Randy’s life at 11:00 am, on Monday, July 17, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO.

          In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
