Rashaunda Bureleson

Rashaunda Burleson, 41, transitioned to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 6, 2024. She was born on July 3, 1983, in Abilene, TX to Betty Burleson. Rashaunda is preceded in death by her dad, Charles (Pooney) Applin and Cousin Briea Lewis. Rashaunda: affectionately known as Shaunda, relocated to Kansas City, Mo at the age of fifteen, she immediately fell in love with the city, graduating from Southeast High School. Her love and passion for helping others lead her to furthering her career in nursing where she would complete her studies at Kansas City College and become an LPN working in many places. She enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with her family and friends. Especially her brothers, they meant the world to her and being the only girl in the bunch, you would think they would be protective of her. However, it was just the opposite. She was very protective of them. Her beautiful radiant smile and joyous humor will be missed. She leaves to cherish her memories parents Betty Burleson and father Kinny Ray, three brothers, Tony Lockett, Kinny Spotwood, and Bryan Spotwood, a sister LaVanity Lewis and best friend in Kansas City, Weisha Jackson, along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
