Gayle Ann (Fischer) Ray, 65, of Platte City, MO, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2020, at NorthCare Hospice House.
Gayle was born November 25, 1954, one of five children of George and Evelyn (Burton) Fischer. She grew up in Wyandotte County, KS and graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1973.
Gayle was a dealer at Ameristar Casino since opening day. She also enjoyed wood crafting with her sister and niece, and displaying her creations at craft shows and gifting them to people she loved.
Gayle was preceded in death by her husband, David Ray; father, George Fischer; sisters, Linda Sprague and Sheila Loyall; and niece, Kelly Toplikar.
Survivors include her mother, Evelyn Fischer; children, Amy Johnston (Jeff) and Dale Hinkle; grandchildren, Aaron Johnston, Audra Hessenflow and Dean Hinkle; brothers, Herman Fischer (Linda) and Wade Fischer (Kim); and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves a step-daughter, Cassy Ray and her family; mother-in-law, Gisela Nickel (Gary); sister-in-law, Christiana Wise (Brian); brother-in-law, Steven Ray; as well as other family members and friends. Gayle loved her family and the times they spent together.
A celebration of Gayle's life will be held at a later date. The family requests no flowers. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
