I cannot believe Jim is gone. I just found my dear cousin only 2 years ago when I started looking into Ancestry family history. Jim was my go to guy! I loved our phone calls and figuring how we were distant cousins. His knowledge, kindness and friendship meant so much to me. RIP my sweet cousin. Sheila

Dear Karen and family. I have had you in my heart daily and am so sorry for the loss of a wonderful person. My heart goes out to you. I know there are no words to explain the feelings now. 57 years is something to be proud of and shows so much love and devotion. God bless you and the kids and grandkids through this tough time of your lives and always. You and Jim were so nice and welcoming to me. Love you Patti

I knew "Jimmy" well from grade school days in South Texas and will miss our many telephone conversations continuing in later years. He was truly a lifetime friend. Rest in peace James.

Went to school with this very sweet and friendly man. This is a shock to me as I would get that friendly phone call from him and I didn’t know he was sick. My prayers are with all of his family and friends. He was truly a wonderful friend and I will miss his calls. RIP in peace James D. Redus🙏🙏🙏

We are very sad to hear of the death of our dear friend of 61 years. We will surely miss not having our phone ring and hear Jim's deep, friendly voice asking how we are...Roger and I count it a great blessing to have shared so much of our lives with Jim, Karen, Stephen, Jimmy and Rebecca. We have so many treasured memories. Our prayers for God's comfort will be with you, Karen, and all of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cousin, I am going to miss you, and the time we chatted on the phone about family and ham radio. As Gayle told me last night, now you have all the answers and your family history work is done. Our deepest condolences and prayers for you, Karen, the kids, and all your siblings. Rest in peace cousin. Cousin Larry
