Regenia Bell Kinder, 87, a longtime Liberty, MO resident, passed away March 31, 2023, at St. Luke’s Plaza Hospital in Kansas City with family at her side.
Regenia was born February 12, 1936, in Morriston, Arkansas, the daughter of Elmer D. and Jo Cleva (Langston) Bell. Following the death of her father, she moved with her mother to Kansas City and graduated from Emanuel High School. She later became a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Regenia was united in marriage to her Salem, MO high school sweetheart, Billy D. Kinder on December 20, 1952, and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Snow; brother, Drexell Bell; and sister, Naomi Warden.
Regenia was blessed with the heart of a servant. She worked 42 years as a nurse, first at North Kansas City Hospital and retiring as an ICU Nurse Technician at Liberty Hospital. She was a longtime member of Liberty Church of Christ and was dedicated to serving her Lord.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandy Kinder (Risa Larson) and Debbie Kilgore (Mark); grandchildren, Jacob Kilgore and Emily Clements (Aaron); other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday, April 5, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Graveside service will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 8, at Morriston Cemetery in Morriston, AR. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Liberty Church of Christ, 1401 Glenn Hendren Drive, Liberty, MO 64068.
