January 10, 1963 — July 20, 2019

Andre Rentie, 56, died July 20, 2019 at KU Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.Β  A visitation will be held from 9-11 am with funeral services at 11 am, on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Second Baptist Church, 116 E White Oak, Independence, Mo. Burial with military honors will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Independence, Mo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Andre's memory to Cancer Treatment Centers of America.

Andre was born January 10, 1963, in Kansas City, Mo. He was a graduate of Lincoln High in 1981. Andre was retired from the United States Postal Service in 2019. He loved attending family functions, watching his grand kids play sports and traveling, especially cruises. Andre loved the Lord. We will miss his prayers and his sense of humor.

We enjoyed sharing cruising stories, sports and supporting each other at work. Andre fought a tough battle and did so with faith. I am so sorry for your loss.
