Catherine “Katie” Richmond

Catherine Rose (Meeks) Richmond, 85, of Liberty, MO, went to be with her Lord on September 18, 2019. She passed away peacefully at home with family at her side, following a brief illness. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Katie's life at 11:00 am, on Monday, September 23, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Burial will follow at Glenridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Liberty Baptist Church, 1000 Birmingham Road, Liberty, MO 64068.

Katie was born September 24, 1933, in Arcadia, KS, the daughter of Frederick Murl and Wilmoth Ann (Copeland) Meeks. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bill Richmond, Sr.; brother, Fred Meeks; and brother-in-law, Kenny Hon.

Survivors include her children, Leanna Kryzck (Dennis), Terri Darity (John) and Bill Richmond, Jr. (Melissa); six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Hon; brother, Sam Meeks (Margaret); sister-in-law, Mary Meeks; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Katie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Katie’s life at 11:00 am, on Monday, September 23, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Burial will follow at Glenridge Cemetery.
