Brian Jon Robb, "Doc", 64, of Liberty, MO, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2022, in Bethany, MO.
Brian was born January 2, 1958, in Centerville, IA, the third of four children of Richard and Barbara Stamos Robb. His parents preceded him in death. Brian was united in marriage to Sharon Sue Griffin on July 28, 1979, in Liberty, MO.
Brian graduated from Liberty High School in 1976 and received his Bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1980. While attending Washington University he played college football and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He went on to graduate from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 1984. Brian later received his MBA in Business of Medicine in 2015 from Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Brian's career as an Emergency Physician spanned 37 years. He was President and Medical Director of Liberty Emergency Physicians, Inc. for 28 years and acted as Chief of Staff for a number of years during his tenure. He was an Emergency Physician for Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph and Albany for eight years. He also served on the board of the Missouri College of Emergency Physicians beginning in 2004 and later went on to become Vice President in 2008-2009 and President in 2010-2012. Furthermore, Brian was named Ingram’s magazine Top Emergency Medicine Doctor in 1999.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sharon; children, Christopher Robb (Rachel LaRocco), Matthew Robb (Courtney) and Ashley Robb; grandsons, Colton, Jaxon and Austin; siblings, Richard Robb, Nicki Barnett and Mary Gray (Clifford); as well as nieces, nephews, other family members, and countless coworkers and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 23, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
