Robert Chandler Buck

July 3, 1965 — January 26, 2025

Kansas City

Robert Chandler Buck an extraordinary man, was born on the sunny side of life in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 3, 1965, to Kenneth and Linda Buck. Surrounded by the love of his family, he passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving behind a smile to remember. Robby was not just a husband, father, son, brother uncle and friend, he was the ultimate do-it-all guy.

Robby was a busy kid who always had something going on. He was born with a sense of adventure and spirit. The youngest of his two siblings, Kenny and Sherry, Robby always kept his family on their toes, whether it was flying his dirt bike up a hill, briefly captivating audiences as a ventriloquist or trucking around in his Chevy. He graduated from Oak Park High School, despite the amusing challenges of having an older brother as a police officer.

He began his career at Spec Roofing and then worked for Mid-States Forms before putting on his Harley boots in 2009, working at Outlaw and primarily Worth Harley-Davidson. From project management to mowing grass at colleagues’ homes, he truly did it all. His spirit and infectious smile were legendary. He had a heart of gold and a gift for fixing things—whether it was a broken engine or someone’s bad day. Anyone who had the pleasure of working with him knows that he was a light at the dealership and beyond!

His personal life was just as full of joy. Thanks to a little nudging from his sister, Robby met the love of his life, Angie. They tied the knot in 1996 at Sherry’s house, which couldn’t have been more fitting. Their love story spanned 28 wonderful years, filled with laughter, adventure, and two incredible sons, Johnny and Jett. Robby loved Angie with his whole heart and anyone who spent even a moment around them could see it. He was her rock, her biggest fan and the one who could always make her laugh, even on the toughest days. Whether it was spontaneous road trips, working on projects side by side, or simply sitting together at the end of the day, he cherished every moment with her. He often joked that marrying her was the smartest thing he ever did and he never stopped reminding her just how much she meant to him. Their love wasn’t just a story, it was a bond that will last far beyond a lifetime.

Time spent with family was important to Robby. Whether it was attending races, Chiefs games, Royals games, going on vacations to the mountains for dirt bike riding or to Florida, every minute was filled with laughter and love alongside Angie, Johnny, Jett, his brother, sister, nieces and nephews. Family vacations to Pensacola were filled with laughter and love alongside his sister Sherry's children.

Robby was the ultimate family man. His boys were his pride and joy, always found watching them on the side of a court or field. When he wasn’t working or watching his boys, Robby was probably hanging out in his truck, hosting a bike night or blasting music. He never met a stranger and always had a tale ready, making sure everyone around him was having a good time. He had opinions and wasn’t shy about sharing them, but even if you didn’t agree, you still loved having him around. Robby’s hands were rarely idle. Known as “Bob the Builder” around the house, he was a true jack-of-all-trades and a guy who could do anything, from bike maintenance to building an entertainment pavilion. He had a "big service heart," always eager to lend a hand.

Preceding him in death are his beloved father-in-law, Johnnie Smith, and brother-in-law, Gregory Smith, who surely welcomed him with open arms and hearts full of love.

Robby is survived by his beloved wife Angie Buck; sons Johnny and Jett Buck; parents Kenny and Linda Buck; brother Kenny Buck; sister Sherry (Terry) Taylor; sister-in-law Alicia (Allison) Smith; and an impressive crew of nieces and nephews including Frank, Jeff, Chase, Drake, Gracie, Adrianna, Serenity, Paxton; six great-nieces and nephews; two huskies Sir Lance A Lot and Remy; along with Harvey the cat who will surely miss his big heart even more!

Robby fought hard against life’s challenges, winning the hearts of nurses and literally taking his "Buck Cancer" shirt off his back and giving it to one of his amazing nurses. His ultimate wish was to watch his boys grow and though he left too soon, he made sure they had a lifetime of love, lessons and stories to hold onto.
