Robert “Bob” Carlson was welcomed into the arms of God on February 5, 2025, at North Kansas City Hospital. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel (1640 N. MO 291 Hwy, Liberty, MO 64068). Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at the chapel prior to the service.
Bob was born on March 25, 1944, in Springfield, Missouri, to Everette and Estelle Carlson, who preceded him in death.
Bob proudly served in the United States Navy before beginning his long career as an electrician. He worked for Bendix before joining Ford Motor Company, where he dedicated 35 years of service.
A man of adventure and a lover of the outdoors, Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling the world. His journeys took him to incredible places, including the Baltic Sea, Alaska, Italy, France, Spain, the Mediterranean, and the Caribbean. He was known for his fun-loving spirit and enthusiasm for the holidays, especially the Fourth of July, Halloween, and Christmas.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Sandy, and his children: Bobby (Kristen) Carlson, Jill Rhodes, Amy (Greg) Neal, Chrissy Carlson, and Katie (Tony) Torro. He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather. He also leaves behind his sister, Julia Mott, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Bob’s life was one filled with love, laughter, and adventure. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
