Robert Baxter Jones

Robert Baxter Jones was born on December 10, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri to Samuel and Rose Ella Jones. Robert was educated at Manual High School in Kansas City, Missouri. 

After schooling he served 4 years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Kansas City Public Library, but later worked as a Crossing Guard for the Kansas City Public Schools. 

Robert was preceded in death by his father Samuel Jones; Mother Rose Ella Jones-Parson; two brothers RL Jones and Bernard Parson; and baby sister Barbara Parson. 

Robert is survived by his life partner for over forty years Joanne Gallegos; daughters: LaTonya LittleJohn and Tracy Union (Alonzo); grandchildren: Tanasha Wilson, DeAndre Wilson, and Canady Mitchem; great-grandchildren: Nyla Dean, Nakel Dean, Knile Wilson, Kanan Wilson and Pierces Wilson; two sisters: Rose Hollins (Charles), and Bernetta Robinson, one brother: Lee Anthony Parson (Maureen); and a host of nieces and nephews.
