Robert C. Shively

 Robert C. Shively (Bob), 83, died peacefully in his sleep  August 8, 2024. Bob was born January 14, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri to William and Rosetta Shively. Soon after marrying Sandra M. Baker, his high school sweetheart, Bob joined the United States Army in 1958. At the end of 1959, they moved back to Kansas City, where they began growing their family. Love and joy were the heart of their large household. They had six children of their own, and parented several others along the way.

  After working for Puritan Bennett for 30 years, Bob worked for the City of Kansas City and retired in 2012. He was a Bible teacher, Sunday school teacher and Elder at Berean Baptist Church.

 He is preceded in death by: William O. Shively (father), Rosetta Shively (mother), William P. Shively (brother), Dennis Waggoner (step-son), and Rebecca Lynn Shively (granddaughter). He leaves his wife of 66 years, Sandra Shively; sister, Linda Saunders (Jim); children: Eric Shively (Lisa), Kathy Roberts, Lori Howerton, Andy Shively (Blanche), Michael Shively (Saratou), and Amy Marquez (Jorge). Bob also leaves behind a tremendous legacy including 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren. 

 Visitation is scheduled for 12:30pm to 1:30pm, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 1640 Rte. 291, Liberty, MO 64068. Burial at Glenridge Cemetery, B Hwy, Liberty, MO 64068.
