Robert Shouse

We said goodbye to this amazing man early Saturday morning, November 30. My words could never do him justice. He was the beloved father to Steve Shouse, Jonni Shouse, Jay Shouse and Kurt Shouse. He raised these four beautiful children, loving them fiercely until the end. He was the grandfather to four wonderful grandsons, Jeremy Shouse, Will Shouse, Garrett Shouse and Ryan Shouse. 

To me, he was my fabulous, sweet, and always generous father-in-law.  He was 92 years young... He lived at home, independently until his death. Bob was a lover of music and sports. Over the years we were all treated to his many music videos. Throughout the years the TV's got bigger, and the volume got louder.  Saturday, he got to see his last Chiefs game. He also got to watch the previous week some of his favorite college teams play. Steve had joked that he was hanging on to watch them.

All of his children have so many of his wonderful qualities, as do his grandchildren. He had a very special relationship with them all. This has been a tough week. He truly will be missed.

Never was there a finer man. I am going to steal Steve's line... "Turn the music up."
