KANSAS CITY, MO --- Jerry, 79, died at home of heart related issues. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. The WINDY CITY - Home of Pabst Blue Ribbon, the Wrigley Building, pool halls, the 1967 blizzard, The Sears Tower, CUBS, DA BEARS, &, in Jerry’s mind, THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. He was born November 1, 1940 [All Saints Day], the fourth son of Frank and Barbara [Schaefer] Roeske. Jerry married Elaine Dunn and they had two children, Yvonne and Matthew Roeske and one grandson, Matthew Jr. When Matthew married Debbie, he added her children into the family and Jerry then had 3 grandchildren and at the time of his passing, the family had grown to include five great grandchildren. He loved them all! Jerry’s brother, Fred, and wife Mary along with their two children with family, as well as cousins and children from his deceased two brothers, Frank Jr. and Richard are all that remain. Jerry married Melinda {Mindy} Shanks in July of 1999. He moved from Chicago to Kansas City & he embraced Mindy’s family as well. They traveled to national parks, Maine, Chicago & other locations to visit family and friends. He was loved by them all. Jerry loved fully and died peacefully knowing he had lived a full life.
