Ronald James Damico, son of Edward and Gailan Damico, passed away on April 19, 2024. Born on March 26, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri, Ron attended Southwest High School and grew up on the south side of Kansas City near Ward Parkway shopping center. Drafted into the military at 22, he served in the Korean War where he became an accomplished Marksman and Mechanic. Upon returning to the States, he married his true love and best friend, Christine. He also began his career working on vehicles and ultimately launched his own business in the automotive industry. Ronnie had an affinity for classic cars, hot rods, race cars and motorcycles. He could wheel anything you if you put him in the seat and speed was of the essence. He was also an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing all over the Midwest. He could do virtually anything with his hands and would settle for no less than perfect if his name was attached. He was quick to compete and determined to win at anything he committed too. Family always came first and he was a loyal husband and perfect Dad. He was the last of an era of human beings who believed in God, family and country. We love you Dad, Rest in Peace. May your memory be eternal. Ron leaves behind his son, Christopher and wife Courtney, and grandson, Dominick.
Visitation will be 10AM, with services to follow at 11AM, Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 12001 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
