Our Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend
Alene Marie Routh, 87, a longtime Belton resident, joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on November 30, 2020, surrounded by family. Graveside services will be 1PM, Saturday, December 5 at Mt. Ayr Cemetery, Altamont, MO.
Marie was born March 14, 1933, in Gallatin, MO. She was the daughter of William Lollar and Jessie Campbell Lollar. She graduated from Trenton High School. Marie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Bobbie L. Routh, on May 20, 1951. They spent nearly 53 years together and were parents to three children. Marie worked many years in the home while Bob was in the U.S. Coast Guard, taking care of Bob and their three children, She also spent her time building an Avon business.
Marie was preceded in death by her father, William Lollar and mother, Jessie Campbell Lollar, and her husband Bobbie; and siblings, Helen (Harold) Cartin, Margaret (Ed) Larsen, brothers Victor (Jean) New and Joe Lollar. Survivors include her children, Gary (Debbie) Routh of Maywood, MO, Cindy (Joe) Wood of Belton, MO and Cecelia (Alan) Kihn of Warsaw, MO; grandchildren, Chad (Kristi) Routh of Quincy, IL, Jason Routh of Justin, TX, Jessica (Brad) Mauderer of Olathe, KS, Angelene (Jason) Michalek of Raymore, MO, Justin (Amy) Routh of Foristell, MO Maggie Filla of Fluggerville, TX, Jacob Kihn of Clinton, MO, and Ashlee Kihn of Belton, MO; sister-in-law Jessie (Leroy) Burkeybile of Trenton, MO; twelve great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She loved spending time with her family and could always make everyone around her feel welcome and loved. She is our sunshine and we know that she as at peae. She is in heaven doing the “Tennessee Waltz” with Bob once again!
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association (https://www.diabetes.org/) and Kansas City Hospice (https://www.kchospice.org/) in care of Park Lawn Funeral Home.
