Edwin Lee Ryser, 78, of the Kansas City Northland, passed away January 9, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital with family at his side.
Edd was born June 21, 1943, on the Ryser family homestead in Washington County, KS. He was the fourth of five children of Leslie and Bess (Cibolski) Ryser. Edd graduated from high school in Hanover, KS, and later received his Bachelor's degree from Kansas State University in Manhattan.
Edd was united in marriage to Connie Schroeder on June 17, 1967, in Hanover, KS, and they have two children Tania and Shannon.
Edd's career as a Civil Engineer with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, spanned 32 years. Following retirement, Edd worked 18 years in sales for Ace Pipe Cleaning.
He leaves his wife of 54 years, Connie; children, Tania Glaeser (Scott) and Shannon Ryser; granddaughters, Olivia, Emily, and Ava; siblings, Howard Ryser (Kay), Jim Ryser, and Carole Gutzmer; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Along with his parents, Edd was preceded in death by a sister, Lila Mullen.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Friday, January 14, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Veterans of Foreign Wars.
