Paulette Lucienne Denise (Clodot) Sanders, 82, of Gladstone, passed away April 16, 2018, at NorthCare Hospice House. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Paulette's life at 6:00 pm, on Thursday, April 19, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Paulette was born May 15, 1935, in Marieulles, France, the eldest of three daughters of Paul Jules and Mariette Marie (Derlon) Clodot. She was united in marriage to Raymond "Ray" Sanders on October 28, 1962, while he was serving in France in the U.S. Army. Paulette worked as a crossing guard at the intersection of NE 65th Street and Michigan for 30 years, helping students to and from Meadowbrook Elementary School in Gladstone.
Survivors include her husband, Ray; sons, Benoit Sanders (Monica), Gregoire Sanders and Matthieu Sanders (Ashley); grandchildren, Shane, Joshua, Breah, Mattilyn and Nicholas. She also leaves her sisters, Giselle and Lillian, both of France.
