With her family around her, Sandra May Shively (Baker) went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Sandy was born October 3, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri to Raymond and Lenora Baker. Soon after marrying her high school sweetheart, Robert Charles Shively (Bob), they moved to California where Bob joined the United States Army. After his service, they returned to Kansas City in 1959, and began a family. They had six children of their own and parented several others along the way.
Sandy never knew a stranger and always shared God's love and joy wherever she went. While raising a family, she served others as a Sunday school teacher and then as a real estate agent later in life with many adventures in between. Throughout her life whenever there was a need no matter who it was, she was always there to love you, listen to you, talk with you, pray with you, and encourage you by pointing you to the Lord. Sandy lived a beautiful life of blessing her family and others with heartfelt acts of loving kindness, just like her Lord and Savior. She leaves a tremendous, love-filled legacy that will carry on forever. To God be all the glory!
Sandy is preceded in death by: Robert (Bob) Shively (husband), Raymond Baker (father), Lenora Baker (mother), Ray Baker (brother), Dennis Waggoner (stepson), Rebecca Lynn Shively (granddaughter), and Emma Mae Hayden (great granddaughter). Sandy leaves behind Lee Atnip (sister) and her children: Eric Shively (Lisa), Kathy Roberts, Lori Howerton, Andy Shively (Blanche), Michael Shively (Saratou), and Amy Marquez (Jorge). She also leaves behind her 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren.
