Stephanie “Stevie” Scruggs

Stephanie Michelle Scruggs, 40, of Kansas City North, passed away October 22, 2018 at NorthCare Hospice House, surrounded by family.   Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday, October 26, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Private graveside services will be held Saturday. Memorials are suggested to the Vicki Welsh Fund for Ovarian Cancer (vickiwelshfund.org).

Stevie was born August 15, 1978, in Kansas City, MO, the youngest of her family. She graduated from Excelsior Springs High School and attended DeVry University. Stevie was active in Girl Scouting and its alumnae. She worked in shipping fulfillment for Amazon.

Stevie leaves her parents, Reggie and Karen (Chancellor) Scruggs; sister, Samantha Garlock and her daughter Sydney; brother, Jason Scruggs and his wife Crystal; and maternal grandmother, Marjorie Chancellor; aunts and uncles, Debbie Chancellor, Diana Smith (Ed), William Scruggs (Miranda), David Scruggs (Becky), Roger Scruggs (Betsy), Arlene Taylor (David) and Lori Parris; as well as many cousins, other family members and friends.
