Sharon Faye Creager

September 30, 1943 — May 4, 2024

Perry

Sharon was born September 30, 1943 to Berbie (Kendall) Furrh and Robert Furrh. Born fifth of seven children, and the daughter of an oil man, she developed a quiet determination and grit, both of which she carried with her throughout life.

In 1960 she met David Creager and the two were married the following year. For more than 60 years, they were together, building a family, creating a once in a lifetime love story, and setting a remarkable example for generations to come.

In her younger years, Sharon was an avid basketball player, read everything she could lay her hands on, was top in her typing class, and was often seen out on her horse Ginger. In adulthood she took up needlepoint, enjoyed sewing, continued reading, working on puzzles, and was an ace at bowling. At any stage of her life, it was rare for her not to have some form of the scripture with her and enjoyed teaching Sunday school. Additionally, she played badminton and softball to keep her swatting top notch.  This rare exception of a woman was preceded in the presence of the Lord by husband David, and son Jeffrey. Her legacy continues through son Jody Creager; daughter Holly LaFosse and husband Kyle; son Jason Creager and wife Nazira. Grandchildren Jesse Kincel; Dalton, Jada, and Kyler LaFosse; Eli and Felix Creager; one great grandson, Pierce LaFosse, and one great granddaughter, Reagan LaFosse.
