Shirley Lee Hopper

November 24, 1934 — December 31, 2024

Shirley Lee Hopper Died December 31, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the youngest child of Michael and Pearl Hanley, born November 24, 1934, in Kansas City, Missouri.  She grew up with her sister, "Bea", and brothers Harry and Walter in Kansas City and Moberly, Missouri.

Shirley graduated from Northeast High School and business college in Kansas City, and had a long career, retiring from the State of Missouri.

She was a Christian with a servant's heart, a warm, loving, genuine, spiritual woman. She welcomed many into her heart and home, sharing what she had and turned away no one.

Shirley was an avid reader, gardener and quilter, who loved a good mystery on PBS. She loved all animals and succeeded in passing on this passion to several generations who remain.

She is survived by her son Matthew Hopper, daughters Mary and Anne, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to ACG Hospice of Kansas City.
