Timothy James Sigler, 69, joined his Heavenly Father on March 6, 2022. He passed away at home in Kansas City, Kansas, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Tim was born August 9, 1952, in Kansas City, Kansas, the tenth of eleven children of Myron Henry and Cecelia Irene (Baska) Sigler. Tim was united in marriage to Jean Marie Meinert on June 19, 1970. He graduated from Bishop Ward High School in the Class of 1971. In 1969, Tim joined his father and three brothers at Myron's Dental Laboratories and later developed Chameleon Dental Products. He pioneered techniques to prepare and manufacture veneers with his brother Tom, which gave him the opportunity to travel the world teaching his patented process. He worked as a dental technician for 52 years and volunteered his time and talents to the Kansas and Missouri Missions of Mercy.
Tim was a Christian and active in his community. He was a member of The Rock of KC Church since its inception. He served as an usher, a greeter, and hosted the longest active Connect Group ("The Last Supper Club"). He volunteered his cooking talents for many functions both inside and outside of the church and was a creative chef. He volunteered his time delivering meals with Honk 'n Holler Outreach of The Salvation Army.
Tim had many hobbies over the years, but most often you would find him working on various projects in his barn. He had a passion for woodworking and had a creative spirit. He loved gardening and sharing his vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a fan of Jayhawks basketball and loved watching games at the fieldhouse or at home.
Along with his parents, Tim was preceded in death by three siblings, Patty Super, Rosie Dinkel and Tom Sigler. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jean; four children, Quinn Sigler (Colette), Lisa Hughes (Rob), T.J. Sigler, Jr. (Ashley) and Myron Sigler (Tiffany); five grandchildren, Zachary Sipes (Jairika), Julia Hughes, R.J. Hughes, Aaron Prusia and D.J. Sigler. He also leaves seven siblings, Delores Lange (Dan), Gene Sigler, Roger Sigler (Sharon), Bob Sigler (Marjorie), Sally Kuklenski (Rick), Mark Sigler (Valerie) and Liz Kurlbaum (Schuyler); along with numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Tim's life at 11:00 am, on Saturday, March 12, at The Rock of KC, 12750 North Winan Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64163.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Honk 'n Holler Outreach of the Salvation Army, 1110 East Truman Road, Kansas City, MO 64106.
