Charlotte Richardson Simon, 85, passed away July 13, 2022.  Charlotte was born July 27, 1936 to Isaiah and Bernice Richardson in Kansas City, Kansas. She was one of five children: Floyd Eugene Richardson, Barbara Gene Richardson, Norvel Richardson and Verna Taylor Tyson; all but Verna have preceded Charlotte in death.

Charlotte attended school in Kansas City, Kansas and also attended Walnut Boulevard Baptist Church, where she was baptized by Reverend Melvin Smith. After moving to Kansas City, Missouri, she joined Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Joseph Clark (deceased) before she went home to be with the Lord.

Charlotte worked for the City of Kansas City for over 28 years for both the KCI Airport and the Downtown Airport on Broadway. She retired from the Bartle Hall Convention Center with full retirement in 1994.

Charlotte married Brady Simon on September 5, 1953. Mr. Simon preceded Charlotte in death in 2006. To this union were three children: La Rhonda Renee Rogers, Andre Simon (Edith – deceased) and Damon Simon (Connie). She is also survived by three grandsons: Ryan Simon, Desmond Simon and Malcom Simon; her granddaughter Alexis Simon; one great grandchild; two nieces Davida Johnson and Tanya Taylor; nephews Carl Bolden, Reggie Richardson and Eric Richardson; her very special friend Ollie Clark, as well as a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will be 9AM, with services to follow at 10AM, Friday, July 22 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
