Rita A. Simpson, age 89, passed away August 10, 2020. She was born July 14, 1931, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Thelma and Cornelius "Neil" Powell. Rita is preceded in death by her parents and son, Alan Day.

Rita loved to travel and visited all 50 states and Canada, making lasting friends along the way.

As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, the only thing she loved more than traveling is her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Keith H. Simpson; their children, Pamela and Lynn Fox, Colleen and Jim Hardy, Jerry and Mary Ann Day, Bruce and Emily Day, Mark and Karen Simpson, Mike and Donna Simpson, Marilyn and Richard Carlson and Mitch and Sherree Simpson; 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service for Rita will be announced at a later date.

"Death may have taken you away from us, but it could never take away your memories. You will always be in our hearts in your own special place."
