Christopher J. Smith

Christopher Joseph Smith, 59, of Liberty, MO, passed away November 18, 2018 at home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, November 27, at St. James Catholic Church, Liberty. Burial will follow in Glenridge Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the St. James Building Fund.

Chris was born February 28, 1959, in Orange County, California, one of seven children of Dayton Earl and Rita (Farnan) Smith. Along with his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie (Cottey) Smith, and brother, Robert Smith. He leaves five siblings, Steve Smith (Dorothy), Jeanette Sanders, Mike Smith (Suzy), Juanita Kelley (Craig) and Beth Waltermath (Roger); sister-in-law, Linda Smith; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends, including his special friends, Jerry and Pat McCaslin.
