Paul E. Smith

Paul E. Smith was born January 12, 1932, to Harold Smith and Mattie Fearn Smith. He passed away July 6th, 2020 at Research Hospital in Kansas City MO. Paul went to Sumner High School in Kansas City, Kansas. Paul was a member of the finance committee and a steward at Willis Chapel AME Church. Paul first worked for the Kansas City Parks and Recreation tree department. Then went on to work at the US Post office where he became a window tech. He retired after 35 years of service.

Paul loved bowling and traveling with his wife and family. He will be sadly missed by his wife Jeanette Smith, his daughter Arniece Smith, son Michael Smith, brother Charles N Smith {wife Sarah Smith}, grandsons Daniel and Roger Smith. Also his nieces Deborah Howard Mitchell, and Linda Powell. He left his loving touch on a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Margaret Smith, his brother Harold Smith, Jr. and his sister Katherine Everett (and her husband James Everett). Rest in peace Paul E. Smith.

Visitation will be 9-11AM, with services to follow at 11AM, Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, MO; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.
