Billie Louise Spencer

January 10, 1937 — November 14, 2020

Billie entered into the arms of our Lord on November 14th, 2020 at 11:57 a.m. during the playing of Elvis's "Amazing Grace" surrounded by those who loved her. Billie was 83 years old.

Billie L. Spencer, "Billie Lou Lou," was born in Kansas City, Missouri on January 10th, 1937. She was the first child born to Billie L. and Louis E. Roberts.

Billie grew up in Northeast Kansas City and attended Northeast High School. She married her childhood and high school sweetheart, Thomas H. Spencer. Billie was a stay-at-home mom. She cooked, cleaned, gardened, sewed and kept everything running smooth while Dad was at work. Billie was a member of the Belton, Missouri Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary (VFW). She loved to sew and volunteered her time making baby blankets for Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Billie was very artistic as well. She loved to sketch and paint. Billie did not know a stranger and anyone who knew her, knew what a spit fire she was. With Billie, you knew where you stood. There was no buffer or sugar coating things.

Billie was preceded in death by: her husband, Thomas H. Spencer; her father, Louis E. Roberts; mother, Billie L. Roberts; and brother, Louis (Brick) Roberts.

Billie is survived by: her daughter, Trisia and son-in-law, Jim Callaway of Kearney, Missouri; daughter, Samantha Phillips of Roeland Park, Kansas; and son, Thomas H. Jr. and daughter-in-law, Kimberley Spencer of Harrisonville, Missouri; as well as five grand kids, Ryan Callaway, Spencer and wife Kara Phillips, Ian Phillips, Taylor Spencer and Benjamin Spencer.
