Barbara Ellen Staab

Barbara Ellen (Swartout) Staab, 85, passed away December 1, 2018, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO, with family at her side. She was born April 25, 1933, in Galesburg, IL, the middle of three daughters of Ralph Eugene and Mary Lucile (Hughs) Swartout. Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Staab, and daughter, Kristan Staab.

Survivors include three children, Kimberly Staab, Karen Gates and Bill Staab; grandchildren, Alison, Cheyenne, Bryce, Taylor and Jordan; sisters, Lois Larson and Kathryn Swartout; niece, Sandy Anderson and her family.

Burial services will be held at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Liberty United Methodist Church, where Barbara was a member, 1001 Sunset, Liberty, MO 64068.
