Jimmy Dale Starnes, 67, of Kearney, MO, and formerly of Leeton, MO, passed away August 6, 2020, at NorthCare Hospice House with loved ones at his side.

Jimmy was born January 8, 1953, in Lebanon, MO, the eldest of four children of Terry and Ruth (Wilson) Starnes. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou (O'Dell) on August 15, 1981. Jimmy's career at Hallmark Cards spanned 38 years before he retired.

Along with his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Faith Schneider. Survivors include his wife of 38+ years, Mary Lou; children, Amy Dahlstrom (Steve Ollier), Kelly Barker (Cathy), Sherry Starnes Scrivener (Terry) and Jessica Starnes; twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a fourth due in November. He also leaves his siblings, Connie Miller (Gary), Rita Collins (Phil) and Kevin Starnes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation for friends and family will be held from 5-7 pm Sunday, August 9th, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 10th, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel with burial following in Glenridge Cemetery. While there aren't COVID attendance restrictions at the visitation Sunday at the funeral home or graveside committal service Monday at Glenridge Cemetery, the funeral on Monday inside the funeral home will be limited to 70 persons inside. Memorials are suggested to the charity of your choice.
