Carmen worked for the Kansas City, MO, Police Department from 1962 to 1976 when she retired. In 1969, Carmen married Herbert W. Stevens, who passed 4 days after Carmen, after 51 years of marriage. They are together once again. After retiring in 1978, Carmen and Herb moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, WaKaTa Beach, where they resided for nine years. They then moved to Pharr, Texas, residing there until 2006, when they moved back to Overland Park, KS, to be near family.
Mom’s fondest memories: “Most of her good times are time spent traveling with Herb and any events that she shared with all of her family.” She will be missed immeasurably by her kids and grandkids, who loved her dearly.
