Karen Ann Stout

Karen Ann (Mick) Stout, 75, a lifelong Lathrop resident, passed away August 22, 2018, at NorthCare Hospice House with family at her side. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Karen’s life at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, August 29, at Park Lawn Lathrop Chapel, 901 Clinton Street, Lathrop. Burial will follow in the Lathrop Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Lathrop United Methodist Church.

Karen was born August 21, 1943, in Clinton County, MO, the youngest of four children of Elmo M. and V. Maude (Baskette) Mick. Along with her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother Bob. Karen worked many years in banking, enjoyed volunteering in various organizations and was a member of the Lathrop United Methodist Church. She enjoyed and taught tole painting and was a member of the Tole Painting Society. She was a lover of all animals.

Karen leaves her husband of 55 years, Jim; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Emily Stout; grandson, J.P. Stout; brothers, Don Mick (Sarah) and Bill Mick (Gerry); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
