Elbert “Jerry” Strother

Elbert “Jerry” Strother, 76, of Blue Springs died August 2, 2020, at home surrounded by his loving family. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 1pm at First Christian Church of Blue Springs, 701 NW 15th St, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Jerry was born in Hampton, VA and lived in the Kansas City area. After graduating from Raytown High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business in 1968 from Central Missouri State University where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Jerry retired in 2006 as the owner of an exterior home improvement company. He was preceded in death by his parents, Truman V. “Spike” Strother and Gladys Mae Howard Strother. Survivors include his wife, Vickie L. Haller Strother, and daughter, Tara L. Strother, both of the home.
