Loreta L. Sweatman

Loreta L. Sweatman, 70, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 19th, 2022 at home. Loreta was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 29, 1952, to Loren Pennington and Viola Blanchette. She spent most of her time in Missouri, where she raised her two children. She enjoyed being a caregiver at several places.

Loreta had the biggest heart when it came to family, friends and all kinds of pets. She spent most of her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, never missed an important event. She enjoyed going to the movies and cheering on her favorite football team Kansas City Chiefs. She would always be a phone call away when needed or just to talk. She always took care of everybody and any pet before herself. She never missed a birthday, anniversary and any holiday; she would send cards out or special gifts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and her stepmom Liz; and her mom Viola; her grandparents, Forest and Leona Emanuel.

Loreta is survived by her daughter, Kristi Mansingh of Blue Springs, Mo; her son John Moore and daughter -in- law Anna Moore of Raymore, Mo; her brother, Larry Pennington and sister -in-law Sue Pennington of Blue Springs, Mo; six grandchildren, Jonathan and Lisa Mansingh of Kansas City, Mo; Nicole and Dusty McGonigal of Alva, FL; Kylee and Dalton Holloway of Blue Springs, Mo; Taylor Moore and her Fiancé Chase Brumback of Kansas City, MO; Taryn Moore of Raymore, MO; Jaden Moore of Raymore, Mo; four great grandchildren Emerson Mansingh, Kayden Holloway, Clayton Holloway, Brylee Holloway, Alana McGonigal; her nephews Larry Pennington and his wife Jessieca Pennington and Dan Pennington; great nephews Taylor Pennington, Garrett Pennington, Finley Pennington; great niece Phoebe Pennington.

A memorial service for family and friends will be 10AM, Wednesday, August 3 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
