Patricia M. Tebbenkamp

Patricia Marleen Tebbenkamp, age 68, lived in Kansas City, MO. She suffered heart failure on Sunday, January 19, 2020 after watching our Chiefs win to go to the Super Bowl.

She was born on December 4, 1951 in Kansas City, MO. Her parents are John Robert and Louella Hursman. She had six brothers and a half-sister. Bobby, J.R., Carl, Garey, Tommy, David and Kathy. She was a high school graduate of Raytown High School. She had a beautician license. She married Gary Tebbenkamp October 15, 1971 in Raytown, MO at the Blue Ridge Trinity Lutheran Church and just celebrated 48 years of marriage.

She held many jobs, beginning in a clothing factory, store manager at various restaurants, an in-home childcare provider, and a stay-at-home mom and wife.

She lived in the Kansas City, Missouri area most of her life. She grew up in Raytown. Lived in Lee’s Summit and Independence and raised her family in Raytown. Her last residence was in Kansas City, MO near Gladstone.

She enjoyed going to the Lake of the Ozarks, boating, and being near the water. She spent her time with her husband, Gary. He was the love of her life. She LOVED watching Chiefs football and could often be heard yelling at the tv during games. Her greatest achievement was her children and grandchildren. Nothing gave her greater joy than spending time with them. She was very proud of all her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; son, Jason of Independence; daughter, Erica and her fiancé, Jason of Kansas City, MO; son, Ian and his wife, Samantha of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Cole, Zachary, Mariah, Taylor, Maddox, Makayla, Alexis and Aubrie; brothers, Bobby, Carl, J. R. and David; half-sister, Kathy; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Robert and Louella Hursman; her in-laws, Hadley and Arlene Tebbenkamp, her brothers, Garey and Tommy Hursman; her nephew, Eric; her niece, Kristen and many beloved pets.

Her service will be held on Saturday, January 25th, 2020. The visitation will be at 12:00 pm noon with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. The services will be held at Park Lawn Funeral Home at 8251 HillCrest Rd. Kansas City, MO 64138. It is located off of 87th Street and I-435.
