Charlotte Sue Thomas

Charlotte Sue (Hamilton) Thomas, went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2019 after battling cancer. She was born in Springfield, MO on July 20, 1939 to Estle Loyd and Ila Jane (Manary) Hamilton who have preceded her in death.

She attended Springfield Schools until 1955 and then moved to Kansas City where she graduated from Westport High School and the Kansas City Junior College.

In Kansas City, she met Larry Thomas and they were married on July 25, 1959.

Charlotte was a homemaker, raising three children and she later worked in the Hickman Mills School District until she retired in 2001.

She was an active member at South Kansas City Baptist Church.

Charlotte is survived by her husband Larry Thomas of Kansas City, MO; son Mark (Debra) Thomas of Kansas City, MO; daughter Lori (Stephen) Brooks of Bostic, NC; daughter Lisa of Kansas City, MO; grandson Jeremy (Jennifer) Thomas of Spring Hill, TN; and two great granddaughters Alana and Charlotte Thomas of Spring Hill, TN.

Charlotte is also survived by her sister Rose Marie Herring, St. Louis, MO and a brother Gary (Barbara) of Springfield, MO along with nieces, nephews and many other family members.

Visitation will be held at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., from 6-8PM, Thursday, July 18, 2019; 1PM burial Friday, July 19, 2019 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
