Mr. Hampton was united in marriage to the love of his life, David Hampton. They celebrated 40 years of marriage together before her passing in 2008.
He was preceded in death by his wife, David Hampton, grandchildren: Thomas, Allison and Abigail Hampton; brothers: Odel, Walter and Edward; and his sisters: Carolyn and Mary.
