Wynonia L. (Spurgeon) Thomas

Wynonia L. (Spurgeon) Thomas, 76, passed away February 12, 2021, at home in Liberty, MO with her children at her side.

Wynonia was born November 29, 1944, in Gallatin, MO, the third of four children of William George Spurgeon and Bonnie Nichols. Along with her parents, Wynonia was preceded in death by her husband, Larry D. Thomas.

Wynonia worked as an office manager for Aon Consulting before retirement and actively attended Northland Cathedral for several years.

Survivors include her children, Darren Thomas, Denise Thomas and Daniel Thomas; her granddaughter, Aliyah; siblings, Guyanne Spurgeon, William Spurgeon Jr. and Theresa Pendergest; brothers-in-law, Rick Burch and Tom Burch; as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 21, at Fairview/New Hope Cemetery in Liberty. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.
